Food Protect is a London-based health and food safety consultancy. The business owner enlisted our food safety copywriting services to refresh the company brand and website, and improve their local search rankings.

1. Kick-off call
We spent time talking to the business owner to understand:

2. Brand colours and logo design
Having listened closely to the brand look and feel that the business owner wished to convey, we proposed three logo designs and colour-way options.
3. Competitor and keyword research
We conducted thorough research into the client's competitors to further define our client's USP in the marketplace. Our SEO strategists then identified local search terms that the website should target.
4. Website copywriting
An SEO copywriter with knowledge of the health and food safety sector drafted the website copy and proposed layout and internal linking structure. Our senior editor then proofread, refined and polished the copy before sending it to the client for feedback and edit requests.
5. Website build
To keep the cost of the project down, we built the website with Wix rather than developing a bespoke site from scratch. Throughout the process, we consulted closely with the client on design, imagery and layout requirements.
6. Google Business Profile setup and citations
After launching the website, we took the client through the Google My Business setup process and advised on best practices for managing their profile. We also identified online directories and posted listings to boost local SEO.
7. Ongoing website maintenance
The client now calls on us for ad hoc site updates and maintenance work, for which we provide a fixed-price quote with each round of work.
The client's website now ranks on page one of Google for relevant locals search terms and also appears in knowledge panels. The business owner has reported that the company now gets regular enquiries through the website, which had not happened previously.
